Condensate Tank Internal Lining Removal & Protective Coating Application
ICC Industrial Corrosion Control was engaged by Access Coatings to undertake the internal lining removal and protective coating refurbishment of a Condensate tank at Lochard Energy’s Iona Gas Storage Facility.
A key challenge of the project was the safe and efficient removal of the existing internal coating from the tank. ICC utilised VertiDrive robotic technology to mechanically remove the existing coating, significantly reducing the need for personnel to undertake prolonged work within the confined tank environment.
Following coating removal, ICC completed the required surface preparation and inspection before applying the specified protective coating system to the internal tank surfaces.
The works were undertaken in accordance with the project specification and coating system requirements, with a focus on surface preparation, application quality and long-term corrosion protection.
